Detroit born and Cleveland/Pittsburgh raised, Rob began piano studies at the Cleveland Institute at the young age of four. Moving to Pittsburgh he played in local rock bands as a drummer and keyboardist. Later, he joined a few touring bands based in Florida. Returning to Pittsburgh he began studio work exclusively which took him eventually to Manhattan, NY. After finding success in the record business Rob returned to Pittsburgh to specialize in post-production music and sound design for television, radio, film, and digital. A past-president of the Pittsburgh Advertising Federation, Rob has also served as a board member of The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust marketing board, and The Pittsburgh Technology Council arts initiative.

In 2003 Rob founded Market Street Sound/Contagious Music, downtown Pittsburgh’s largest and most successful audio-post facility, where he’s produced, recorded and mixed many recording artists, composed music for advertising and film, and recorded and mixed thousands of TV, Radio, and Web commercials. Rob has received many industry awards for both composition/songwriting and sound-design. Advertising and marketing clients that Rob has created brand music for include Coca Cola, Dicks Sporting Goods, Cub Cadet, Snickers, The Home Depot, Delmonte, Heinz, Harry and David, PNC, UPMC, Stanley Steemer, Highmark, NGK, Airborne, Mylan brands ColdEase , Midnight, and Vivarin and countless others big and small. Motion picture clients have included Warner Brothers, Disney, Universal, DreamWorks, and more.

Recording artists he’s worked as a producer, engineer, musician and programmer include David Werner, Bob Corbin, Billy Idol, John Waite, Dagny, SOJA, The FMs, Rachel Z, Tarkan, Neil Dorfsman, Gary Katz, Syleena Johnson, Mary Fahl, Reb Beach, Michael McGlone, Marc Copely, Psychotica, Bloody Chicklets, Carla Bianco, and Pittsburgh-based Skell, to name a few.

In 2020, Rob started v6 MUSIC + POST creating a new post suite at The Vault Recording.
